I have backed up footage from an NVR client that I would like to edit in Adobe Premiere. Unfortunately, while the files appear to be encoded as an h264 video stream in an MP4 container, Premiere doesn't recognize the format and claims the file is damaged.
Reading through a few posts on this forum, I'm led to believe there may be some proprietary codec being used for the video and that there are utilities that will let me covert these video files to a non-proprietary format. Particularily, one thread linked to "http://www.hikvision.com/UploadFile/file/EN-File Convertor V3.1.rar" which is supposed to perform this conversion, however, the link is dead. Is there an updated link, or a link to another piece of software that will allow me to covert these video files into a format that can be read by Adobe Premiere?
